Dennis is married to Emma Sue and they have three sons Derek, Drew, and David.

"I served as pastor of Eastminster Presbyterian Church from September, 1992, until the merger with Washington Avenue Presbyterian Church in August, 1999. Since then I have been the pastor of the 'new & improved' Eastminster. Both experiences have been wonderfully exciting. The people here have taught me a great deal about loving one another and about the call of Jesus Christ to serve others. I can't imagine a more caring, giving and accepting church than what I have found here. Especially gratifying is the privilege of working together with a marvelously talented staff who always put self aside for the greater good of the church."
